ATEM BIENNIAL Festival
Our virtual festival is intended to be a safe, creative, and non-discriminatory space for everyone. To ensure we all have a good time, the following rules apply when entering our Hubs environment:
- Respectful Interaction
We do not tolerate any form of racism, sexism, harassment, threats, or hate speech. Insults in voice chat or text chat will result in immediate exclusion. Treat other avatars as you would wish to be treated in real life (maintain a respectful “virtual distance”). - Appropriate Avatars and Names
The choice of usernames or avatars that depict pornographic, extremist, violence-glorifying, or offensive content is prohibited. - No Technical Disruption (“Trolling”)
Intentionally cluttering the virtual space by spawning (creating) countless objects, massive 3D models, or extremely loud audio sources with the aim of degrading performance for others or crashing the server is prohibited. - Privacy and Recordings
Respect the privacy of others. The recording (screen recording, audio recording) of conversations of other participants without their express consent is not permitted and may have legal consequences. - Virtual House Rules
The organizers and the moderators deployed by us exercise virtual domiciliary rights (Hausrecht). Instructions given by moderators must be followed. In the event of violations of this Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to:- Issue warnings to users.
- Mute users.
- Remove users temporarily or permanently from the virtual environment (Kick/Ban).
- Disclaimer of Liability
Use of the virtual environment is at your own risk. We assume no liability for technical malfunctions, server failures, or problems resulting from the participants’ internet connections.
